The Error of The Law

People can do anything if their works are legal. They can build some buildings if they have permission about the land even though there are many creatures on that(as if the Mother Paula's construction site in Hoot), and they can hunt animals or cut the trees if their government doesn't disturb it. Because they think it's legal.

I agree with Roy's thinking; Just because something was legal didn't automatically make it right. Because the legal behavior of people is fit only with the human society, not the environment. Of course, there are some laws about protection of the environment, but those are the minimal morality of human. And also in the past time, there was many laws about sexism or racial discrimination.Even though every people have the authority to do what they want to do, it was very natural at that time because it was the law. But now, many people think it isn't right. I think the laws are being changed according to the generation. More time pass, there are more change about people's thinking or ideology. So the law is related with the ideology of the people, we can't define what is right and what is wrong. Of course the laws about foundation of the society is really needed in the world. Every people think almost of the laws are right because they make the society well. But it's not that 'every' laws are right. As I already said, some laws are related with the ideology of the people who live in this generation.

Brain or Heart

I have never fought in the school when I was in the elementary school. But when I was in six grade, there was a boy who was my partner in the class, and he was so annoying and bossy. And he was often sarcastic to me. He ignored my study and exercise skills. At that time, not now, I was so upset. So I hit his arm, and he wanted to fight with me.
I think, I should not fight with him. Because I and he were in the class, and also there were many kids that are my friends and his friends. If we fight, everybody in the classroom would see us. It was really disgraceful thing. They were all my friends or his friends. My parents or my friends would be disappointed to me when they knew that. And also, the person I was trying to fight is a boy, not a girl.
But on the other hand, I was very upset and provoked. There was nothing I faulted. That boy make me angry and I just tried to make him stop to annoy me. Also I felt confidence about my Taekwondo skill because I was a black belt and I tried hard to do well.
Finally, he and I fought because I couldn't be patient about what i was feeling about him. i hit him many times, and also I was hit by him. It was really hurt. About 10 minutes later from the time we started to fight, we decided to stop because it was the time that the teacher would come. After that, we didn't annoy and talk to each other. I think stopping the fight was good thing.

Power of Persistence

Have you ever been persistent? When I was about 10 years old, I was very persistent about learning how to play the piano. Even though I gave up learing it when I was 13 years old and now I don't know how to play the piano, before that time, I really tried hard. Learning how to play the piano is very hard to amateurs. Every day I went to the piano tuition, and practiced a lot even though my teacher wasn't watching me. Few months later, my parents ordered me to play the piano in home. So I did, but they weren't seemed satisfied. They said, "You have to improve your skills. Practice more." So I decided to practice harder to make them very pleased. I played the piano at least once a day even though there was no time to play because of lots of homework. My tuition teacher seemed so pleased about that.
about an year later, I was very pleased because my skills' level became much higher than before. So I showed my piano skills to my parents, and they seemed very satisfied. I was really happy, and tried harder and harder. But about two years later, I felt boring about playing the piano. And also there was a lot of homework because I had many tuitions. So I gave up learning how to play the piano. But as a result, I regret that. If I didn't give up, maybe I still play the piano well.

Characterized of Beatrice Leep

Minjung Baek

In the novel, Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, the character Beatrice Leep was bossy and intimidating, which effected the main character Roy to stop to chase the barefoot boy.
"Lemme have your box." "No," Roy said. "Eberhardt, are you fond of your front teeth?" "I'm not afraid of you," Roy said.
Beatrice tried to snatch the shoe box that was being hold by Roy, and Roy clearly siad "No." But she wanted t osee that and behaved at her own direction.
"I got some advice for you," she said, lowering her voice...Glaring balefully over the top of her red-framed eyeglasses, she said. "From now on, mind your own damn business."
She threatened roy not to chase the barefoot boy. She didn't use "plaese," she just ordered him. She only thought what she wants and doesn't mind the others' thought.
Beatrice Leep was an enemy of Roy because of her behavior and personality. But they were almost reconciled. Also Beatrice is related with the barefoot boy. Maybe she will be the one of the most important character in the story.

My fatherland Korea's city Seoul :)

The name of my city is called Seoul, which is a part of the republic of Korea. The street that I lived in is called Nowon Junggye-dong. It is located in the middle of downtown, which shows that there are many academies such as math, art, especially English around my apartment. Also there are only few mountains because it isn't in country side, So I couldn't get the fresh air. for getting the fresh water, I had to climb the mountains very high. But it is very hard, so I sometimes did it. I had to climb the mountains at least twice a month, because when I was in the city the smell of the city is bad because of the exhaust gas. Also, there are a lot of noisy that is from the cars. I lived in 13th floor, but I could hear noisy very much. Of course, there are a lot of Korean food because it is in Korea, a lot of convenience stores are there. So when academy is over, students often buy the bread and eat it for a dinner. I also did.

My Street

A small
sound
murmur!
Koran verses
coming from
Islam temple

Whirr!Whirr!
highway cars,
busses,
so many engines!

Children swimming
plop! splash!
gaurds talking
hurly! burly!

My street
sitting among
big city,
but little
sound
I don't know
why it is.
