There are to different types of brain; logic and gestalt. I'm belong to logic which processes information from the pieces to the whole in a linear manner. It also favors step-by-step technique in learning a new skill. It is fit with my character. My profile HH is totally left limited profile. This means that when under stress I'm at a great disadvantage because I cannot access dominant hemisphere with sensory input. But when not stressed I can more easily access logic/gestalt integration than any of the other logic profiles. I think this is exactly same as me. When I was totally under stress in Korea, I didn't do anything even eating.
I learn best when I act the learning process. When I use my body to learn, it's easier than learning by just writing and listening. Because I can remember what I learned exactly. When I learn by acting, I think it's hard and annoying, but later, because of those reasons, I can't forget the process easily. When I was learning Julius Caesar's story in humanity class, I acted the part of story. So I can remember what I did and learned in that class exactly. Also I learn best when the teachers joke and make students enjoy the class. This way is much funner than boring class and I can focus on what the teacher is talking about. Then I can remember easily.
I need to learn how to focus in class. Because the most of the classes use writing and explaining education to teach students. So I have to sit in the seat and listen what teachers explain to students. Acting education is good for me to remember, but when I sitting on the chair, I often doodle on the paper and don't think about what teacher is explaining. In my profile, It will be benefit to do doodle, but I think it's not fit with me and disturb my learning and focusing.
Usually I don't make a plan to do something even though I decided to do it. But when I have a plan, I can do something step-by-step well. The only reason that I don't make a plan is that I don't know what I can do first. But this time, I would have to make a strategy. First, I will try not to doodle while the class. Even though I happen to doodle in my text book, I will try to focus what teacher says. Second, I will ask many questions if I don't understand what teacher says. If I do these things, my learning skill will be better than now.
I don't know what is good for me exactly. I just guess what learning skill is fit with me. What the teacher need to know about me is that I don't really focus in the class even though I seem like I'm focusing. The reason why is I'm under stress or I didn't sleep much time in the last night. If I don't have enough sleep, I can't focus in the class even though I'm not sleepy in the class. Many students don't sleep in the night to complete their homework. Of course, I'm too. So if teacher give me a lot of homework, I can't have much sleep that night and I can't focus on the class the next day. And also if the teacher give me a lot of homework, I don't know where I have to start. It's better to do a lot of work in the class than have a lot of homework.
